HELLOALL

hello everyone. well it has been a long time since i posted here and i really don't expect any comments on this. first of all i wanted to let any one that might visit that my father passed away may 19th. he died of lung cancer which he had been fighting for almost 2 years. my brother called me to give me the news and i have a hard time believing he is gone even now. the man i knew and loved died at a mere 120 pounds. the last year he spent most of his time in bed and my mother who is 84 years old took care of him day and night. my father was 87 when he passed.
when i got the news i made a reservation on delta even though i am not that crazy about flying. i rented a car in providence rhode island and drove home to be with my mother. my mother never changes much so i knew she would tell me i needed a haircut as soon as i arrived so i stopped at a barber shop and got one. after i got it i though this might be the one time she would not notice but i needed one any way. i stayed with my mother for 2 weeks and tried to help her do all the things a wife has to do after her husband passes away. my mother does not drive so she usually depends on my brother and sister to drive her places. they live in massachusetts where she has been all her life.
the second week i was there we drove to my sisters house on the cape and my brother and his family went there also. my brother in law had an addition added on to his house and it was very nice. it had those vaulted ceilings though which i think are a waste. he cooked sword fish and steaks on the grill for us and we all ate and enjoyed ourselves.
after 2 weeks i said goodbye to my mom and took the plane home. i was glad to see mrsh again and to be back home. this week will probably especially hard for my mother because my folks anniversary is today and father's day is sunday. i am going to try and call my mother more often now because she will be in her home all alone .
just before i left we had a storage room which is 12 feet by 22 feet and we were trying to clean it out. it was filled with things we had saved over the years and the room was full. we got about half the stuff out before i got the news about my dad. when i got back i found the rest of the stuff out on my carport. my son had taken it on himself to clean the rest of the room out. well my friends i was not to happy when i saw that because i planned on resting with my wife for a few days before i started anything major. now that the room is clear we plan on making it in to a den. yes my friends, i will be doing all the work on this project so that's what i will be doing all this hot summer. the last several days around here it has been in the 90's . well that is it for now. i hope all is well with you and yours. i will try to post again soon.
