hello every one.
how is every one doing today? i talked to my friend walker today on yahoo messenger and he told me not every one can see my videos because of their internet connection. so i guess i need to add at least a few words for my friends that have dial up . i actually know about that problem because i had it for several years myself.
just want you all to know my family and i are doing fine. as you remember my wife had a stroke about 3 months ago but it must have been a mild one because she is doing fine now.
i use to have a 73 oldsmobile until some jerk in a flat bed wrecker hit in pulling out of a parking lot . the worse part was i was coming out of a restaurant and saw it all happen. he had a radio in his truck so i had him call the police. the police said i did not need to call since it was on private property. i said i wanted it in writing that the other driver was at fault. i called my insurance company and told them . they said i should call the wrecker company and deal with them first. if they did not respond then he said my insurance would handle it and go after them later. whell the company that hit me did not call me for 3 weeks. they sent a guy out after another week to take pictures. its been about 10 days now since then and still no call. so i finally turned it over to my insurance. the day after the wreck i rented a car and had it for 25 days. i paid for a full size car and they were out of them so i got a ford edge instead which is an suv. it is usually a lot more expensive when you order that kind but they only charged me for a full size car. i originally rented it for 4 days but i kept on exteding the contract at the same daily rate.
my wife has been voulanteering at a monastery in clyde missouri for the past 3 years. she has some catholic nuns there that she knows . she has wanted me to go there for 3 years now so seeing i had to rent a car because of the accident i asked her if she would like to go for a week and so we did. that was a surprise for her . so at least one good thing came out of the accident. we had a good time there and the nuns let us stay in a guest house they had on the property. the guest house was a 2 story house with 7 bedrooms and we were there by ourselves. they had no other guest there that week.
well we are back home now. yesterday the insurance company came and picked up my car because they totalled it out. i hated to see my car go but after the accident it will never be the same car for me again.
so i have been using old blue to get around, that is my 54 chevy truck. thats my 53 year old truck . my wife and i have decided to just rent a car every 2 weeks for 3 days at a time because the rental fees are half price on the weekends with hertz rental. so for 3 days on the weekend i can get a low miliage new car for about 70 dollars total. we will then do our major shopping then and i can use it to look around for another vehicle. i would prefer to get a car in the 70's, preferably a oldsmobile or a buick. i like big old cars, especial general motors cars because they are good at starting up every time and hardly ever leave you stranded.
