where is my invitation?
hello every one. as you know on my blog and many others we have what is called a side bar .on my side bar one of the things i have is xtrafavorite blogs and favorite blogs. this is where i put links to all the blogs i like to visit. for some reason some of my friends have decided to make their blog private and it seems you need an invitation in order to see their blog. so my problem today is, where is my invitation? today fizzy dropped by and left a comment. i was able to get to where her blog was but it asked for a password and i never received one from fizzy. she may have sent it to me but i did not get it. if i had her e-mail i would e-mail her and ask for it but i can't find her e-mail any where and i am almost possitive at one time i had it. so if you drop by my blog and it was on purpose and your blog is by invitation only then please invite me and give me the secret word to allow me to comment on your site. send invite to mrhaneyent@mail2world.com .
well i went for a while and now i am back. as most of you know i finally got rid of dial up and went with bellsouth dsl. when i changed i got bellsouth e-mail. i use to have msn e-mail and of course so did my wife because that was our i.s.p. well after 6 years with msn my wife got use to the set up that msn had on their e-mail and she was very reluctant to change because the format was different of course from bellsouths e-mail site. well she has been working with the bellsouth e-mail now for a month and she finally got the hang of it. today for some reason we was not getting any thing to come to our in box. so of course i had to try and figure out why. i called bell south and after a while some one answered, a real person no less. the woman told me that bellsouth had changed the template on their e-mail site so every one was going to get the new kind which of course was different than the old. i said, can i keep the old because my wife was finally use to using it. well you guessed it, they said no. i told them they were causing me and probably many others trouble.trouble with a capital t. trouble in river city. the woman said she was sorry but could not do anything about that. i said, it would be nice if bellsouth had sent me an e-mail and told me this was going to happen. i guess i could have bought mrsh. a bottle of her favorite liquor and got her a bit tipsy before i broke her the news. some news should not be taken sober.
the woman from bell south said in order to correct the thing i would have to download a program so she could take access to my mouse. so i downloaded it and she did just that. she got me on the new bellsouth email and it was different. now the program i downloaded was now showing two icons right near the bottom right of my monitor. she said i could go to my control panel and delete the program from the add and remove program site. so i thanked her and hung up the phone.
now i went to the control panel to get rid of the downloaded program i had installed and when i tried to click on uninstall it said exit out of the open program first. so i moved my mouse and right clicked on the icon and a window appeared and one of the words in the window was exit. well i clicked on that and nothing happened. it would not close. i rebooted my computer and it was still there, not only the icon near the clock but also this window where it said exit, oh that's just great so what i did next was do a system restore to yesterday and rebooted again and the program was gone. not only was the remote program gone but when i tried to go in to my email it went to my old email. the one that did not work. so now i had to try and remember what the woman had done and attempted to do the same thing so i could use the new email. after a while i got it going.
now if i wasn't a bit of a computer geek i would have never been able to do this. i would have had to call some one and have them do it. one thing i forgot to do this time and i usually do this ,is run cam studio. cam studio is a program that will take a movie of any thing that is done on my computers monitor. so as soon as this woman from bell south said she would like to take control of my mouse remotely i should have started cam studio. that way when things did not go as she said i could have played the movie back and watched exactly what she had done and in what order.
by the time i got through with all this i had a headache and that is not good at any time of the day. well that's how some of my day went. how did your day go?
